Ezer Weizman, a former Israeli President, was also a legendary fighter pilot. His daring manoeuvres in the War of Independence became the stuff of legend. Weizman received his training as part of the British Air Force but when he enlisted in the IDF, and even after his service played a major role in the Six-Day-War where Israel took down over 400 enemy planes just on day 1.
