9. The Infamous Entebbe Raid
Operation Entebbe, a daring rescue mission in 1976, remains one of the most audacious military feats in history. Israeli commandos flew deep into hostile territory to free hostages. A plane had been taken hostage from Tel Aviv to Paris, when Israeli commandos took to the sky and successfully freed hostages from the diverted plane in Uganda.
